Frequently asked questions

Before You Ask

Where do your horses come from?

Our horses come from a variety of backgrounds, including private owners, breeders, auctions, and dispersals. Because of our past rescue work, we’re experienced with horses from all walks of life. Each horse is evaluated individually and represented honestly based on what we know and have done with them.

Are your horses kid-safe or beginner-friendly?

Some are — some aren’t. We’re very upfront about where each horse is in their training and what type of rider or family they’re best suited for. A horse being kind and well-intentioned doesn’t always mean they’re beginner-ready, and we’ll help you decide what’s appropriate for your situation.

Do you offer trial periods?

We do not offer off-property trial periods. Horses can change in new environments, and we prioritize their safety and consistency. We’re happy to answer questions, provide videos, and allow in-person visits so you can make an informed decision.

Can I get a vet check?

Yes. Buyers are welcome to schedule a pre-purchase exam with a veterinarian of their choice. PPEs are encouraged and handled at the buyer’s expense.

Are your horses sound?

We represent soundness honestly based on our knowledge and use of each horse. That said, horses are living animals and not machines. We encourage PPEs and clear communication to ensure expectations are aligned.

Do you hold horses with a deposit?

A non-refundable deposit will hold a horse for a short, agreed-upon period. Once a deposit is placed, the horse is considered sold and will no longer be shown to other buyers.

Do you offer shipping?

We can assist with coordinating professional shipping, but transportation costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Can you recommend a trainer?

Yes — we’re happy to recommend trainers and programs we trust, depending on your location and goals.

What if the horse doesn’t work out?

We always encourage open communication. While sales are final, we prefer to stay in the loop and help however we reasonably can. Our goal is long-term success for both the horse and the buyer.

Do you take horses on consignment?

Select consignments may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out with details, photos, and your goals.

Why should I buy from you?

Because honesty matters here. Our background in rescue, years of hands-on experience, and family-first approach mean we care deeply about doing things right — for the horse and for the people involved.
